Peter Reynolds and CLEAR have been denounced by United Kingdom Cannabis Social Clubs.
The denunciation came after CLEAR had been posting links to the UKSCSs on its web site and the CLEAR facebook page.
Spokesman, Greg de Hoedt, a medicinal cannabis consumer who has himself been reported to the police by Peter Reynolds, said: “While we would normally welcome publicity from any quarter, CLEAR is not the kind of organisation we want promoting us.
“We are very concerned about the toxic reputation of Peter Reynolds and want nothing to do with him. The offensive views of Peter Reynolds are entirely contradictory to the values of the UK Cannabis Social Clubs and we wish to make it clear, excuse the pun, we do not wish any endorsement from CLEAR while Peter Reynolds is involved with them,” said Mr de Hoedt.
Orson Boon, who runs the London Cannabis Club, the largest UK based cannabis Facebook page, also expressed horror at the fact Peter Reynolds has recently been courting the UK Cannabis Social Clubs scene.
“I am deeply disturbed that Peter Reynolds, who has in the past done nothing but attack us and is on record as saying there is no such thing as a cannabis community, should now be expressing interest in the UKCSCs.
“He wrote to me a couple of weeks ago asking if the London Cannabis Club could work alongside CLEAR. I did not reply and I can confirm the London Cannabis Club wants nothing to do with Peter Reynolds or CLEAR,” said Orson Boon.

It’s not just the UKCSCs who have been quick to disassociate themselves from an embarrassing endorsement from Peter Reynolds and CLEAR, the Liberal Democrats have also said they do not support or endorse Peter Reynolds.
On 10th February of this year, Peter Reynolds announced CLEAR has approached the Eastleigh Liberal Democrats with an offer of practical help and support in their by-election campaign.
Reynolds went on to suggest up to a dozen volunteer canvassers could be made available in Eastleigh for the Lib Dems. The man is so deluded, even after getting a mere 137 votes (0.38%) in the Corby by-election, he thinks an established political party on the centre left would want help from someone with such extreme right-wing views. I’d expect even the BNP would have to think twice before accepting an offer of help from Peter Reynolds.
The Liberal Democrat’s Constitution states:
The Liberal Democrats exist to build and safeguard a fair, free and open society, in which we seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community, and in which no one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity. We champion the freedom, dignity and well-being of individuals, we acknowledge and respect their right to freedom of conscience and their right to develop their talents to the full. We aim to disperse power, to foster diversity and to nurture creativity. We believe that the role of the state is to enable all citizens to attain these ideals, to contribute fully to their communities and to take part in the decisions which affect their lives.
In view of this, I thought it was highly unlikely the Liberal Democrats would be accepting an offer of help in the forthcoming Eastleigh by-election from the likes of Reynolds, so I phoned them up to ask them.
They had never heard of Peter Reynolds and when I pointed them in the direction of his blogs they were quick to say they did not support those views and certainly didn’t want any help from him.
I asked them if they could give me an official response, however, they said the head of their press department, James Holt, found it so embarrassing, they didn’t want to bring any attention to it.
If you would like to contact James Holt, to clarify the Liberal Democrat’s position on Peter Reynolds’ offer to help them in the Eastleigh by-election, his email is james.holt@libdems.org.uk
In the past the Lib Dems have been sympathetic to the cause of cannabis law reform, yet thankfully they have had the good sense not to endorse Peter Reynolds on account of his racist, homophobic and antiSemitic views.

Peter Reynolds Watch The Leader of CLEAR | Cannabis Law Reform
Reading this has only fueled my hate for prehistoric penis reynolds.how dare he..do us a favour penis reynolds..die..thanks
I would be worried if The Lib Dems supported CLEAR’S licences for ‘suitable people’ approach to reforming the cannabis laws even if PR wasn’t such a dick.
For ‘suitable people’ read big phama and the tabacco industy.
Cannabis for Autism on Facebook also wish to make it known that we disavow any connection we may have had with Reynolds and Clear. My appearance on their early leaflets is regrettable and I wish I could get myself removed from their website and literature.
Furthermore, my yoga business, ‘Clear Yoga’ wishes it to be known that it has nothing to do with ‘Clear – Cannabis Law Reform’, despite obviously getting inspiration for the name ‘Clear’ from ‘Clear Yoga’.
