Cannabis Trade Association (CTA) disowns Peter Reynolds

We previously reported on the Cannabis Trade Association (CTA) which was of great concern due to the fact it appeared to be fronted by Peter Reynolds.

Peter Reynolds Watch has learned that the CTA has kicked him out and now want nothing to do with him.

I chatted to a high-level member who knows what really went on in the CTA and how Reynolds really fucked things up this time, from the insight of an insider; you will see a familiar pattern emerge that is typical PRick.

Reynolds helped set up the CTA in mid 2016 in response to the Medical and Healthcare Regulations Authority’s (MHRA) attempts to haul CBD off the market due to ongoing medical claims, to cut a long story short Hempire, Elixinol UK, Canabidol, Love Hemp, Molytor, CBD Life and Love CBD above came together including Reynolds.

Mike Harlington was asked to be the chairperson of this association and to lead the CTA who arranged to meet with the MHRA lobbying to keep the industry alive.

Reynolds tries to push himself on the CTA board

Apparently, it all started off well enough with Reynolds, as he would give his input on various topics relating to the cannabis industry, but Peter wanted more involvement. In the first AGM in June 2017 he made his first play for a role on the board but was turned down and the board decided to allow him to be seen as an advisor.

He would be allowed to officially have more of a say on matters to appease his wanting more involvement.

Within 6 months he was to go on to threaten the CTA board with legal action to get his “rightful place on the board”, he was threatening others claiming he had the “authority of the CTA” and this is when things started to take a darker tone.

Over the next 12 months he started to contact board members and even ordinary members with his demands to become a board member of the CTA and whilst his role as advisor was useful, according to the CTA, some had severe reservations about him so the prospect of him having this role as a board member was never going to happen. He also started to contact various agencies issuing demands and threats as the CTA without their permission. It became clear that the PRick was out to cause trouble.

Upping the ante

He started to up the ante after he was refused a place on the board, with his all too familiar habit of issuing legal threats to various members of the board culminating in spreading rumours about the chairman which angered many and which ultimately showed him for what he was.

You’d think after his disastrous and expensive failed legal action against me, you’d think the balding old goat would be a bit more careful about issuing legal threats. They are taken about as seriously as Boris Johnson’s claim there is a one in a million chance of him not securing a better deal with European Union than Theresa May did.

I’m told he convinced a board member to break his Director’s confidentiality and pass confidential information from the board to himself.

This was started when Mike Harlington, Chair of the CTA, was away on holiday and unable to defend himself, with Reynolds contacting board members demanding a seat on the board which was swiftly declined, but the damage and relationship at this point were now beyond repair despite him being warned about his behaviour.

Because of what he claimed, an in-depth internal investigation by the board had to be carried out in which the chairman Mike Harlington was starkly warned could end his tenure if any were found to be true.

It was alleged that Mike had used members funds to live the “high life pursuing his own agenda and not that of the CTA” and that he had used more of the members’ funds for a holiday to Thailand for Mike and his wife Sarah. This is strenuously denied by Harlington.

This is a familiar tactic of Reynolds, pure bluster and a typical ploy he used against the chairman who had funded the CTA entirely from his own savings when it was first set up. Further comments about Mike’s mental health followed and various outbursts on the memberships social channels continued, including a faked email from an imaginary association asking Prick to become the chairman there, which he said he never wanted to become but would consider the position unless the CTA gave him his “rightful place”.

Untrue allegations from Reynolds

It goes without saying all Reynolds’ allegations were proven to be totally untrue.

I spoke to CTA Chair, Mike Harlington, who told me: “I continue to pay for many CTA things from my own pocket.

“Mr Reynolds then tried to say the Association was his and that the CTA couldn’t use the name claiming he named it. Of course, anyone who was involved at the beginning knows that he called it UKCTA, where in fact we insisted it was to be called CTA UK concerned he might well in the future pull some sort of stunt like this.

“In the end, we told him to quit his maniac rantings or he would have his membership which he never paid for (and had never contributed financially to anything) removed and he would forfeit his place as an advisor. PRick didn’t stop with his bullying and only managed to have himself removed as a member and of course as an advisor.

“In typical Reynolds fashion he then released a statement saying he has resigned from the CTA due to ‘poor ethics’, The irony of that statement for us who know all about Mr Reynolds tells the long ongoing sorry tale of a man who is all about personal ego and self-aggrandisement, but is ultimately a worthless cunt who for all sense and purposes should just disappear and live out his sad days in Ireland,” said Mike Harlington.

Harassment, abuse and slander

This reminds me of the nasty behaviour of Reynolds initiated towards me and my family. To my great embarrassment, I initially helped CLEAR by funding a professional website for them, writing articles and getting them a presence on social media, as well as the search engines. That was before I was aware Reynolds was narcissistic, certifiably insane, racist looney.

Like Mike, as soon as I called out Reynolds, I was too was subjected to a vicious campaign of online abuse, harassment, slander and even issued with a vexatious lawsuit for truthfully calling him a racist, homophobic, anti-Semitic bigot who reported medical cannabis users to the police. We all know how well that went for him.

While the jury is still out regarding CTA and its motives, all it seems is not what we first thought. It’s certainly true that Reynolds has damaged their reputation simply by association, as he’s more toxic than the radioactive waste currently being spurted into the Pacific Ocean in Fukushima.

I asked Mike Harlington, what on Earth was going through his mind to have someone with such a bad reputation on his team: “Reynolds talks a good talk. I take everyone as I find them and for 12 months he was Mr Nice Guy, then over time he showed his true colours, by then it was out of my hands and ultimately he showed his true colours to the entire team.

“I curse the day I ever met him,” said Mike Harlington.
