Peter Reynolds and Derek Williams humiliated

A few weeks ago, a very boastful Peter Reynolds and his sidekick, Derek Williams, published articles on CLEAR, UKCIA and Reynolds’ own personal blog, claiming the first victory in his defamation cases.
On Peter Reynolds’ blog he wrote that he had settled his claim for defamation against Dr Gary Potter, London Southbank University (LSBU), and the Global Cannabis Cultivation Research Consortium (GCCRC), consisting of more than a dozen universities and academic institutions across the world.
Peter Reynolds also published a similar article on the Cannabis Law Reform (CLEAR) web site.

You will note Dr Potter’s words are very different to the way his statement was portrayed by Peter Reynolds.
We contacted Dr Potter as soon as we saw the articles and he was not very happy at all about the way Peter Reynolds and Derek Williams had misrepresented his apology.
Dr Potter explained to us: “The apology posted on GCCRC does not accept, concede or describe any of the comments previously posted on GCCRC (by third parties or myself) as defamatory (it merely asks that people don’t post defamatory comments in future). Nor does it say that there is no evidence to support such comments – only that evidence was not provided at the time or place that comments were published on the GCCRC website. It does describe comments made as derogatory – they were (that doesn’t make them wrong).”
Yet, Peter Reynolds, chose to misrepresent Dr Potter’s apology implying it was a victory in his defamation cases. He even wrote to the other people he is suing, telling them how he had triumphed over Dr Potter and that he had settled his defamation case and they should now do the same. He also lied saying that LSBU and the GCCRC had settled, when it was in fact merely a personal apology from Dr Potter. Reynolds also defamed Dr Potter and LSBU by falsely claiming they had been involved in some campaign of abuse, harassment and defamation against him.
All this is hardly surprising, since Reynolds has a track record of misrepresenting people and taking quotes out of context. For example, Reynolds was suggesting that Dr Potter’s apology amounts to an admission that some statements were defamatory, something Dr Potter said he had “definitely not done”.
Dr Potter was not able to tell us much, since he said his legal team had advised him not to comment, however he did confirm to us the following short statement: “yes, we will be pursuing action against Peter Reynolds and Derek Williams with regards to the way they have discussed and portrayed the legal settlement I had with them.”
Today, the boastful articles by Peter Reynolds, gloating how he’d won his first defamation case were taken down. We think he must have heard from London Southbank University’s Lawyers. What cowards both Peter Reynolds and Derek Williams are. Unlike the people Peter Reynolds is suing, who refused to take down any posts at the first sight of a solicitor’s pen, though given Reynolds doesn’t have an actual lawyer and is representing himself, this is hardly surprising.
Another gloating article about this supposed victory appeared on the UKCIA blog, written by Derek Williams, who is Peter Reynolds’ right hand man and one of his most loyal supporters.
Derek William wrote there is therefore with some satisfaction that following legal action we can today announce the apology written by Dr Gary Potter and published on their website.
Looks like Derek Williams might have also heard from Dr Potter’s and LSBU’s lawyers today, since his article where he states the winning of this case “can be seen as the first stage in the fight back against these morons” has now also mysteriously disappeared from the Internet. Questions have already been asked to CLEAR and UKCIA why Peter Reynolds’ grand proclamations of victory have been removed from the Internet.
Stuart Wyatt, a disabled activist and medicinal cannabis user, who has himself been threatened in the past by Reynolds with the police and legal action, asked on the UKCIA Facebook page where the article had gone?
No answer from Derek Williams, so Stuart tries to get an explanation from Reynolds and CLEAR from Twitter. As of yet, no official explanation from Peter Reynolds or CLEAR as to why these articles have been removed. We await their response with baited breath.
You have to laugh, Peter Reynolds and Derek Williams succeed in getting a carefully worded personal apology from Dr Potter, yet they managed to turn it around by getting threatened with legal action themselves for grossly misrepresenting that apology and having to take down their blogs. What a couple of prize tits the pair of them are.
well well, looks like to put it bluntly the Reynolds/Williams team has fallen flat, not responding, not admitting, just silently sitting and working the next step in deception, I would love to know what game it is they are playing, certainly wasting a lot of time on all this suing campaigners business and not standing in elections, not really a political party, just an ego rubber for two desperate middle aged men with nothing but each other to keep warm at night…. oh and a bottle of whisky….
Peter is representing himself in court (no doubt with assistance from his trainee barrister son). And when he does lose, he’ll probably turn out to have no assets. Fair enough he’ll be bankrupt – eventually, it’s not actually that easy to achieve. But what difference will that make to a man with his track record?
Same old, same old CLEAR deception over the facts, just like their tax and regulate, legalised production for ‘suitable people’ cannabis policy , which their members haven’t realised doesn’t include them!

It was obvious the way PR and DW portrayed Dr Potter’s original half arsed apology was both devious and misleading and I’m glad Dr Potter has finally spoken out to restore his reputation a bit, coz let’s face it, apologising to a couple of prize tits like that was really not a very wise move … didn’t he know how to use Google?
The reason the people who campaign against CLEAR and Peter Reynolds do so, is because they like me have seen the light and realise that the CLEAR campaign is not for the benefit of the general public! This campaign is for ‘suitable people’ only which will rule out 90% of people from taking part in this ‘new industry’ except as ‘tax paying consumers’.
Peter’s personnel blog entries with the hints of racism and homo phobia, plus his ‘sex contact adds’ have pretty much sidelined many others who would not and do not trust a man with PR’s views and sexual preferences to represent them.
I am some one who does and will continue to put the truth of the CLEAR manifesto to all those who have signed up to it with out properly reading it’s detail. I read this manifesto on the day CLEAR had its first meeting in Parliament on the day this manifesto was fostered on the cannabis campaign and I questioned it on that day. PR’s only response was why aren’t you a suitable person. The answer is apparently not, nor is any one else that is not well placed or a major corporation!
CLEAR is a con on the General public and the claims over this apology false, as the quotes given are given out of context and have been selected/cut to convey a meaning that was never intended. Both Derek and Peter should resign and return the cannabis name to a political group that supports the rights of ALL cannabis users and want to be producers, not just Medicine Wheel and other big phama/big industry contacts who they seem to really represent.
OH and as yet no one has threatened to sue me, bring it on! I know who would lose and it isn’t me!
